My New Year’s Eve activities have matured a lot over the years. They’re now kept at a minimum, compared to my younger years.
Back in the day I could be found wherever there was a NYE party, wearing a crazy hat adorned with anything symbolizing the occasion – glitter, tinsel, streamers, etc. In recent years I started my countdown to the new year attending church service, which I realized gave me a positive outlook on the future and made me feel refreshed going into the new year. I also used to give attention to resolutions but I gave up on annual goals to focus on daily ones.
Last night I was home but I stayed up late….
…actually, I tried to stay up late….
…Hmm… no no, I thought about staying up late….
…well let’s just say it was a good idea.
I was tucked into bed by the time the ball dropped.
Sleep is no longer currency I swap for a night out on the town or in the big city. I need all the pillow time I can get.
