Farewell, My Love!

vows of commitment, promised

anytime and anywhere, brought

hope and expectation—but they

were all built on lies or

maybe a misunderstanding of

your true intentions but now

you’ve been exposed for the

duplicitous man you are.

mine eyes must be like

those of your mistress and

my voice, wonder if you’d

rather hear hers, tell me

when you sing with passion are

the words a reflection of

love that you desire to

share with someone else.

but now my heart has

turned a new direction and the

thought of what you’re losing has you

singing “woe is me,” and those

virulent indiscretions leave you

fighting for survival ‘cus your

heuristic way of living led to

health diminishing.

well, cry me a river or

possibly an ocean but

we now must end this painful

series of affliction and just

leave it all behind us, neither

hope nor expectations, no more

bitterness and lies…farewell

to you I bid adieu!

You know, writing about myself has always been a challenge. It's not that I'm unsure of who I am but rather I like people to discover me on their own. I will tell you this much - I'M REAL! I guess that's all you need to know for a first approach; stick around and you'll understand the power behind that statement. What I do is another story! I embrace life hoping to live my purpose as a mother, daughter, sister, confidante and friend; I laugh, cry, and support; I admire, like and love; I listen, read and write. Most importantly, I have faith and thank God for all of me. My intent is to inspire others using my gifts and "Don't Forget the Half" reminds me to cast nothing aside. Want to know more? Discover along with me as I live my life out loud.
