My Grandmother (Haiku)

thoughts of you always

slip into my mind, precious

time, just you and me

My Grandmother (Décima)

She was feisty, spirit so rare

Time in my life was a blessing,

Her honesty was refreshing,

Love and care she showed was sincere.

Enjoyed hearing stories she’d share

Joined at the hip, me her and mom,

They brought me peace and kept me calm

When monsters plagued my bedtime thoughts

Or my stomach was tied in knots,

The Final Hour

softly she whispered

as her final hour had come,

she transitioned to

a place where pain and sadness

are gone, never to return.

#TWT – Spring

Plant

the seed

of your desire.

Pray

but work

until you tire.

Release

always

keeping the faith.

Hope springs eternal!

A One Night Stand

Star shoots across the purple sky
A midnight sigh,
Sunrise, sunsets
With no regrets.
This night’s just one to dispose of
Not turn to love,
This ain’t for show
You come, you go.
That’s it for now, I’m satisfied
With that joyride,
You did me right
Now say goodnight.
