When we arrived at the vacation house we were shocked to see white leather sofas and curtains made of lace. The home was in pristine condition! We knew that wasn’t sustainable, with our family having children of varying ages running around. Unfortunately, the tiny backyard had no room for a bounce house. There was a beach nearby but as our luck would have it, there were sharks in the water. I thought being there would spark creativity for my blog but I was overcome by dysania every morning.
Star shoots across the purple sky
A midnight sigh,
With no regrets.
This night’s just one to dispose of
Not turn to love,
This ain’t for show
You come, you go.
That’s it for now, I’m satisfied
With that joyride,
You did me right
Now say goodnight.

Moonlight at midnight feels like forty degrees,
As winter whispers, body starts to shudder,
Sitting close, eyes lock, he gives a gentle squeeze.
Emotions making my heart all aflutter,
Overcome with love my words cannot explain,
Tongue gets twisted and I begin to stutter.
We step inside for a bottle of champagne,
Heartfelt “I love you,” nothing else could be said
Tonight’s the night I can no longer abstain.
Sharing this special night and morning ahead,
Nerves at ease now and I’m feeling kinda bold,
Slipped away and returned wearing something red.
Oops! I’m so sorry, the rest just can’t be told,
Suffice to say passion could not be controlled.
