I felt compelled to share these images again for week #151 of Tuesday Photo Challenge. I hope you enjoy!

During my air travel to Florida this past December, I captured the brilliance of the sun from such a fantastic vantage point.

These still photos were taken as we were departing North Carolina, just as the sun began to rise to a perfect shine over the horizon.

This video was caught during our descent, as the clouds enhanced the view of such a perfect circle of light appearing to pulsate in the sky.

Favorite Photo of 2017

As my favorite picture, this makes me reflect on how far I’ve come in a year. This is by far my favorite photo of 2017. It was taken on January 1st, the first day following a year of turmoil in my life. I’d loss my Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Uncle in a matter of eight months of 2016, making it hard for me to smile, laugh, venture out, or appreciate life that year. On this day I gave myself permission to start the path to healing. It began with a trip to the beach with some wonderful friends to enjoy lunch, great conversation, drinks, and shopping. The emotions of that day lead to this moment right here. It was quite liberating!

A Player’s Perspective

This photo challenge took me back several years to when my son and I had a chance to visit Emirates Stadium, the home of our favorite soccer team – ARSENAL!!! We toured the grounds, locker room, fitness area, the Director’s Box, and even took pictures with the FA Cup. Every bit of it was as exciting as we’d hoped, but nothing stopped us in our tracks more than standing in the very tunnel the players exit for every match. My son, who grew up playing competitive soccer in the US, has admired Arsenal most of his life. At this moment, he had the opportunity to stand where they stand waiting to hit the pitch. This is a player’s perspective.
