Her mind wanders
Void of certainty
Imprisoned and incurious.
Memory blurred
Thoughts often fade to black
Stories end with no beginning.
Moments passed come again…
…and again…
…and again.
Voices of strangers
And unfamiliar faces calling
Her name still draws attention.
Intoxicating juices induced
Blank stares with no contact
Motions without movement.
Strength trapped
Knowledge lost to time
Impuissant body and mind.
Set free
New story begins
With no ending.

It’s so sad if someone reaches the end of life and loses their memory. 😦

It’s a devastating reality that’s difficult to watch a loved one suffer through.
